PU
7.62x54r - 3.5x? - Russia - Mosin Nagant / many other

The PU is a is a Russian scope that was became the primary model used by the Russian snipers during WWII. While initially mounted on Mosin Nagant rifles it would be adapted to many other weapon platforms in the post war years. It would also be copied by other countires both during WWII and in the years after. Collectors today should be aware that modern day reproductions do exists of the PU scope. The ON 52 is a Yugoslavian improved version. The PU scope was superior to the German ZF41 and influenced the development of the ZFG42 and ZF4 scope.

For a great detailed write up on the PU scope check out m9130.info which has a section on the scope.
